マウスTMC4は食塩の塩化物呈味検出に関与する
Mouse TMC4 is involved in the detection of chloride taste of salts

transmembrane channel-like 4 (Tmc4) ノックアウトマウスにおいて様々な塩への舐め行動を観察した。Tmc4ノックアウトマウスでは、塩化物塩、NaCl, KCl, NH4Clなどへの感受性の優位な減少が観察された一方、グルコン酸ナトリウムへの感受性減少はなかった。この発見はTMC4が塩化物味の検出に関わることを示唆する。
